Widget Setup

Adding Widgets to your Home Screen (iOS 14-only)
iOS 14 lets you add Widgets to your home screen to display useful information without having to open the app. In Weve, you can currently setup a 'Countdown' Widget to either let you know how much time is between now and your next event - or - how long until a particular event you're looking forward to - work, personal, interest, holiday or otherwise. Weve will automatically color-code the Widget to make it more glanceable/noticeable. You can add as many Widgets as you like and keep them in the Widget section (left of your home screen) or mix them in with your app icons. Follow these steps or watch the video below to see how to setup Widgets in iOS 14.
  • Exit to the home screen
  • Long-press on an open space
  • Tap the '+' button in the upper-left corner
  • Search for 'Weve'
  • Tap 'Add Widget'
  • Drag the Widget to your desired location (note: the Widget will push app icons off your home screen if there isn't room for it).

Availability Sharing

How To Share Your Availability With A Scheduling Link
In Weve, you can share open times in your schedule for someone to pick from to make the process of getting a meeting on the calendar more simple. The below video shows the process of how to do this in the following segments:
  • Creating the availability share in the app
  • What the recipient will experience on the web
  • What the recipient will experience if they choose to download the app to pick a time(s)
  • The process of finalizing the date and time to meet
NOTE: this video is shown using a mobile device, the experience also works (and is optimized) for desktop as well.
Creating Customized Time Window Templates
When creating an 'Availability Share' link for someone to choose time(s) to meet from your availabilities in your schedule, Weve provides you a series of pre-defined templates that narrow-in on what days of the week and times of day are most appropriate for the gathering or meeting. Some examples include 'Work Meeting', 'Lunch', 'Happy Hour', 'Evenings & Weekends' - among others. While these are helpful starting points to constrain when you'd like to meet, they may not be the exact hours you'd choose or you may have different constraints, preferences, or mental models for your availability. Enter-in 'Customized Time Window Templates'. In Weve, you can create new Time Window Templates from scratch or modify the ones we pre-defined. You can then use these in pinned/universal or customized/one-off availability shares. Here are the steps and a video that show how to set these up.
  • Find the Create Availability Share screen (via the 'Share Availability' button on the main dashboard or the '+' button at the top of your active 'Availability Shares' list at the bottom of the dashboard in the 'Browse' section).
  • Tap on 'Template Based' in the 'New Availability Share' section at the top.
  • At the bottom of the heat map and potential times, you'll find the menu of primary parameters to share your availability. Select the 2nd option from the left to edit the 'Time Template'.
  • Choose 'Add Time Template' or tap an 'i' button next to an existing template to customize/edit it.
  • Name the template and tap on/off the times you want to include in it. Tapping the labels will turn on/off entire days (columns) or times (rows) for the week.
  • Hit 'Save' in the top-right and you're all set. You can then select this and use it for template-based availability sharing for scheduling.
NOTE: If you edit the template times and they're in use by an active availability share link, these edits WILL be applied to all active availability shares that are using it as well as override any one-off modifications you may have made to an availability share.
